Mapperley Park Badminton Club AGM Summary
MSV – 7.45pm – 8.55pm Wednesday June 1st
In Attendance:

Chairman’s Report:
Shuttles – It was agreed that (in conjunction with the treasurer’s report) we test both Yehlex and Babolat No1 shuttles over the coming weeks for durability. As despite the Babolat being £16 more expensive per 25 dozen, we spent almost £1000 less on shuttles this year.
Team Performance – One promotion (3rd Ladies), One relegation (3rd Mixed) all other teams remain (1st men’s still undecided)
Kit – Awaiting prices from Babolat regarding kit for next year, other options available (Forza?)
Member Numbers – We ended the season at 41 members (38 Full, 2 student, 1 junior) It is anticipated that we will have room for a maximum of 5-6 new members come the end of August.
Centre Closure – The sports hall is closed on Monday June 27th through to Sunday 3rd July. Club night will be back on Monday 4th July as the floor is being treated (Yay)

Treasures Report:
The club is in a healthy situation financially. Despite the court fees increasing, we have saved money on shuttles. This means that a contribution per head will be made towards club kit and a couple of social events this year (inc Xmas)
Fees
The Club Fees for Season 2016/2017 are as follows:
Adult £187
- Payable by standing order at £15.58 p/m from September 2016 – August 2017
or
- Payable IN FULL by 31/12/2016
Junior £137
- Payable by standing order at £11.41 p/m from September 2016 – August 2017
or
- Payable IN FULL by 31/12/2016
Student £147
- Payable by standing order at £12.25 p/m from September 2016 – August 2017
or
- Payable IN FULL by 31/12/2016
The above means the fees have been frozen for the 4th year running
Match Fees
It was agreed that match fees would be amended to £4 for both home and away. The junior match fee has been abolished. Meaning all match fees are now £4
Visitor Fees
Remain at Adult £5, junior £3, Student £4
Upcoming Social Events:

Night out in town, either 19th or 20th of August combined to celebrate Andys Tyas getting married and Dan’s leaving drinks
